The National Youth Jazz Collective, in partnership with Youth Music, are keen to ensure that no one is deterred from applying to attend the National Youth Jazz Summer School for financial reasons. While auditions are free, we realise that for some, travel costs can be prohibitively expensive. Where there is a clear need for financial assistance, limited funds are available from the National Youth Jazz Summer School's Bursary Scheme. Applicants who are under 16 years of age at the time of the auditions can also apply to have their carer's travel costs covered.

Our Bursary Committee will be meeting on ????? to consider applications for financial assistance to attend auditions.

As a guide, low family income with support from housing benefit or free school meals, or other financial pressures are the kind of reasons that the Bursary Committee will consider while the distance you have to travel or the large number of auditions you are attending for various educational activities, are not sufficient reason for allocating funds.
